Documentul de mai jos rezuma pregatirea lui Feri pentru meciul cu George de la Nopatea Judecatii si, fireste, strategia dupa care a evoluat. Evident, nu sunt trecute drill-urile pe care le-a facut…
Dupa cum se poate observa, meciul s-a desfasurat conform planului A din strategie (adversarul pune presiune).
De remarcat:
– Feri nu a mai inceput meciul cu „celebrul” sau mid-kick, pentru ca stiam ca Geo e obisnuit de la wushu sa-l prinda si sa continue cu proiectarea. Plus ca aveam in minte contra lui Anderson Silva din aceeasi pozitie si cum lui ii place sa-l dea cu dreptul, overhand-ul de dreapta (arma cea mai puternica a lui Geo) era chiar acolo
– singurul moment cand s-a grabit (overcomitted) a fost inversarea din primele minute
– sitout-ul i-a functionat excelent intr-un moment dificil cand Geo controla in sprawl

E in engleza pentru ca multi termeni suna weird in romana…  :))

A. Opponent

Pros: likes to put pressure, aggressive on offense, overhand right, good takedowns after catching kicks

Cons: reach, neglects defense when attacks (both in terms of striking and grappling), mediocre grappling skills

B. Fight strategy

Keep distance
If he puts pressure – takedown
If he doesn’t engage – fake takedowns attempts and set-up takedown with strikes
Be mentally tough for a long strategic fight!
Don’t overcomit!
Don’t get frustrated!

C. Training regime (essentials – what to focus on)

Standing:

1. Keep distance

2. Takedown w. he attacks:

– double leg
– single leg

3. Clinch w. he attacks

Failed takedown:

– grab single (from failed double)
– sit out
– reverse
– take back
– pull guard

Guard:

1. Break posture

2. Create space:

– get up
– regain posture control

3. Obtain control:

– overhook
– rubber guard

Side control (defense):

1. Maintain posture

2. Stay safe from strikes

3. Escape:

– get to all four
– regain guard

Side control (offense):

1. Defend guillotine

2. Maintain control

3. Deliver strikes

4. Improve position to strike (crucifix etc.)

5. Obtain mount
